Entry: Just another new chapter Monday, July 30, 2007

What a bad first day of the semester. My car just broke down this morning. I was driving at about 80km/h on the Piasau main road when the engine suddenly shuts down. Luckily I managed to steer and enter Piasau Jaya. Finally the car lost its momentum and stops somewhere in front of a bus stop, slightly at the side of the road so that I won't obstruct the traffic (not like some those idiots/ignorants who often fetch their kids at school and stop in the middle of the freaking double lane highway causing jams and sudden emergency brakes).

The car couldn't start. CEL is on. So I went to the passenger foot area and rip the carpet to take a look at the ECU. Honda ECU is so convenient. You don't even need to bring your car to the mechanic to tell whether there's something wrong with the engine. It throws the error code to you, it blinks to you. Yes, the marvelous electronic invention does blink to you, with its red LED eyes. It was a one long blink, and five short blinks. That means error code #15. According to the Honda ECU error code reference list, this means 'ignition output signal' (yes, it sounds slightly geeky, I know...). OK, something wrong with the ignition.

Waited for Saiful to pick me up. Then I cranked the engine one more time. Thank god it worked. So I quickly drove it to my mechanic's place to get it fixed.

Apart from the whole car breakdown thingy, I had two FTV lectures today. We haven't really decided about the group members, but it seems that me and Saiful, and Diyana will end up as a group for the corporate documentary class, with another two vacancy left. For the advertisement and music video class, it could be me and Saiful, and Scott, plus another two empty slot.

Oh ya, I got a compliment for my Megadeth's "Peace Sells But Who's Buying?" T-shirt from Mr. Rama. I know he's a fan as well. He wore the "Arsenal of Megadeth" tee that day.

My sis got her Savvy fixed for the oil leak. I'm not sure about the details, and I bet she know nuts about it although the person in charge would explain something. I guess I'll ask my dad tomorrow.
