Persona in da house

Picked up the Persona at around 4:00pm. Everything seems to be good. From the EON centre, I went to fill petrol at Shell Piasau. The guys over there were talking about the car. It so obvious that my car just came out of the showroom with all seat plastic covers still attached.

Smooth ride, quiet engine, freaking cold air conditioning, basic but decent sound system, but the brake system is a bit on the soft side compare to my Civic (with Integra brakes lol).

My dad ordered the new Proton Persona just the next day after the official launching date. It's a solid white base line model with automatic transmission. Today, a trailer of 8 Personas just arrived. Everything looks great, tomorrow my cousin (who is our S.A) will bring the car for registration, probably can get the car by this weekend.

My timetable is quite pack today. There was like four classes from 9:30AM until 5:00PM with only half an hour break between 1:30PM to 2:00PM.
Sem2, 2007 PR300 classYes, this is pretty much our class for PR300. It's a PR consultancy unit. We have only like nine people, divided into three groups. Pretty small isn't it? We'll be meeting a real life client next Wednesday. This unit is like The Apprentice. Three groups will 'compete' (it's not like we're getting eliminated or winner gets prize or anything), which is how we'll be assessed, apart from some minor individual assignment and final...
What a bad first day of the semester. My car just broke down this morning. I was driving at about 80km/h on the Piasau main road when the engine suddenly shuts down. Luckily I managed to steer and enter Piasau Jaya. Finally the car lost its momentum and stops somewhere in front of a bus stop, slightly at the side of the road so that I won't obstruct the traffic (not like some those idiots/ignorants who often fetch their kids at school and stop in the middle of the freaking double lane highway causing jams and sudden emergency brakes). The car couldn't start. CEL is on. So I went to the... (more)

want a slower connection? then switch to TMnut!

The move by TMnut to cap the p2p bandwidth of broadband users in Malaysia caused anger, online riot, madness, furious, explicit and vulgar cursings, morbid raging behaviours, super breakdown, hatred and all the extreme emotional and pshychological response of its subscribers especially the torrent community.

An interesting and creative promotional banner....

I think TMnut should use the banner instead of the RM77/month promotion of 1Mbps Streamyx line with free modem.

To those enlightened people who wish to join (or should I say discuss) about the 'campaign' may do so by registering... (more)

It's been a while since the last entry... have to admit that I'm kinda lazy to post anything eventhough there's a lot of interesting things happening around, the Drag Race 2006, Ramadhan (food!), world issues, computer stuffs, etc. My brain is quite active to think about stuffs, but my fingers are lazy to materialize what's running in my mind.Anyway today is the 5th day of Ramadhan, and the 5th day of fasting. For the past few years (since I was primary 4) I had never failed to complete the one whole month of fasting. Alhamdulillah, hopefully this will be another successful one.Anyway, the...

The
first day of the second semester… everything was pretty much sorted out
especially with the timetable clashes. New schedule will give me the freedom of
waking up late every morning, or at least allows me to do any future last
minute assignments. Just nice I should say. But there won’t be anymore excuses
of missing class for waking up late. I know… I won’t. I better be serious in
keeping up with my studies. Finish everything quick, free from university, get
a job and try to be happy with adult life. Oh yea… this semester I’m enrolled
for FTV243, MCI212, Public Relation 200 and... (more)

getting myself Ubuntu-ed

Here I am on logging from my newly installed Ubuntu 6.06 (for n00bs, Ubuntu is a Linux OS distro). I've been trying to install it since yesterday which met no success. Only today I've realized that I had made a few mistakes which was holding me back:

1. Unable to boot into Live Desktop.
Problem: APIC enabled.
Solution: Disabled APIC from the BIOS.

2. System freeze during the beginning of installation setup.
Problem: My overclocked cpu was not 100% stable.
Solution: reduced the speed a few MHz.

.... damn, that was actually easy.

And today, I mean this morning installation was successful... (more)
